The House Of Fire, a feature-length documentary about the Earth Liberation Front, follows the story of key activists who founded the underground eco-sabotage group best known for torching the Vail Ski Area in October of 1998. The story includes the participation of the FBI’s Special Agent who led Operation Backfire, the FBI’s 10-year investigation that ultimately put many of the arsonists behind bars.

The ELF/Operation Backfire story raises serious questions about what constitutes appropriate action in a time of global warming and endless war as well as what constitutes “domestic terrorism.”
